Sony had introduced its Xperia 5 in the IFA 2019 event, Now only one week left for the IFA 2020 event, Sony’s Xperia 5 II has been confirmed its existence. The successor to the Xperia 5 has been revealed by the well known tipster Evan Blass in a series of tweets.

Sony has already scheduled a new product announcement on September 17 with a hashtag #SonyXperia in its image teaser. The Xperia 5 II is expected to feature a triple camera setup with ZEISS T* Optics.

According to the leaked renders, the phone will have 3 colour variants, Black, Blue and Grey. In an unusual move it is likely that the 3.5mm headphone might make a come back to Xperia 5 II and stereo speakers to enhance the audio experience.

The next Sony flagship specification includes 6.1 inch Full HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The triple camera setup features a primary 12MP with f 1.7 aperture and 82 degree field of view, A 12MP telephoto lens with f2.4 aperture with 3X Optical Zoom and a 12MP Ultrawide lens with f2.2 aperture and 124 degree field of view.

The Sony Xperia 5 II is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with 8GB of RAM, an upgrade from the 6GB RAM from its predecessor Xperia 5. The device is expected to have a 128GB storage with an option to expand via MicroSD card. If you couldn’t recognize the chipset, yes the next Sony flagship will be supporting 5G.

The Xperia device will carry a 4000mAh battery, a welcome upgrade compared to the 3140 mAh from its 2019 flagship smartphone. The phone will feature a USB Type-C Power Delivery charging.
