Following the major brands, OnePlus has also finally joined the true wireless sound club with their first TWS earbuds OnePlus Buds. Unlike using the “OnePlus Bullets” brand name, OnePlus have named it new, suggesting this will be a new product line up.
It was tipped through earlier leaks that the OnePlus Buds will be unveiled alongside the OnePlus Nord. One of the attractive feature of the earbuds is its endurance time, with the buds and the charging case combined, OnePlus Buds offers 30-hour battery life. Also it is offering a 10 minute charge for 10 hour listensing time with its warp charging technology.

The Oval shaped charging case looks similar to the Google Pixel Buds 2 charging case and for buds design OnePlus have gone with the stem design like AirPods. The charging case measures 52.2 x 59.6 x 37.9 mm and the buds comes with 18.8 x 16.1 x 37.9mm making it as a compact device to carry in pocket.

OnePlus Buds comes with 3 mics on per buds and equipped with “Environmental Noise Reduction” technology which basically reduces the external noise to make the call quality better for the users.
With the 13.4mm dynamic drivers, OnePlus promises richer tones, clearer vocals and deeper bass with Dolby Atmos support for immersive sound experience. Unfortunately OnePlus did not include EQ settings in its earbuds. The Buds comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and supports AAC format only.

OnePlus Buds charging case comes with a 430 mAh battery with 35 mAh battery in a bud to provide 7 hour battery life on a single full charge with an additional little more than 3 times charging using the case. Which will easily get the users through a full day.
The Buds are IPX4 rated, which means it can survive water splashes and supports customizable button taps to Play/Pause the music from the buds. It also comes with a USB type-C port to charge, however the case does not support wireless charging.
Like the current generation buds, OnePlus Buds also supports Fast Pair technology which allows the bluetooth connecting to the buds in a snap. To pair the buds, It requires simply open the earbud case near the phone you want to pair it to and tap the pop-up notification.
OnePlus is yet to announce the availability of the buds. However the pricing has been revealed in the Nord event and It will be selling at $79/€89/₹4,990. OnePlus Buds will be available in 3 colours Grey, White and Nord Blue.
The OnePlus Buds offers similar features like the Apple AirPods with much less money. This makes the OnePlus Buds an easy option to recommend as a low cost true wireless earbuds.
