Huawei has unveiled a few MateView branded monitors in the recent past in the Middle East. Now the company is set to bring 2 new monitors to the Middle Eastern Market, the gaming monitor Huawei MateView GT and productivity focused Huawei MateView, a flat screen.
With the growing popularity of gaming over the recent years, the ultra-wide monitors for gaming were climbing the trend chart. These larger screens not only boast an impressive set of hardware, but more importantly, they offer a significantly more intimate and immersive gaming experience thanks to the larger screen estate that surrounds the gamer.
Huawei MateView GT with 165Hz Ultrawide Gaming Monitor
The first gaming monitor from Huawei features a 34-inch screen with a screen resolution of 3440×1440 with a 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio. Huawei MateView GT has a 1500R super-curved design for an immersive gaming experience with its significantly larger field of view.
The Huawei MateView GT supports a 90 percent P3 colour gamut and 10-bit colour depth, covering 1.07 billion vibrant colours with a colour grade of ΔE<2. The MateView GT Gaming Monitor boasts an impressive 165Hz refresh rate which helps to eliminate the flickering and delivers a smooth gaming experience for the users. It promises 350 nits of typical brightness and a 4000:1 contrast ratio with HDR10 support.
The Huawei MateView GT also comes with the Dark Field Control and Crosshairs feature to elevate their FPS gameplay experience. Leveraging the Dark Field Control, users can adjust the display brightness and contrast at any single moment to help them gain an edge over their hidden in-game enemies. Users can also take advantage of the Crosshairs feature to overlay their game with a crosshair and help them drastically improve their aiming.
The 165Hz Ultrawide Gaming Monitor sports a functional unibody SoundBar design which serves as a monitor base as well as 2x 5W dual stereo speakers. The Soundbar supports touch control for volume, highly convenient and intuitive even during gameplay. It also features an RGB lighting hub with 36 individually addressable RGB lights, offering an extensive range of colour-changing options with the Intelligent noise-cancelling microphone at the top of the monitor.
The MateView GT has the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification for filtering out harmful blue light during games. It also supports DC Dimming technology, eliminating screen flickering which causes eye fatigue.
The Huawei Gaming Monitor connectivity comes with a DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports and a USB Type-C port and another Type-C port for Power Input.
Huawei MateView
The Huawei MateView standalone monitor features a 28.2-inch display with a 4K+ 3850 x 2560 resolution with an impressive 94% of screen-to-body ratio which has a side profile of 9.3mm. The 3:2 aspect ratio gives more vertical room to see contents in a taller view.
It has a brighter IPS display at 500 nits with typical brightness with an HDR 400 certification and DC dimming support. With a not so impressive 1200:1 contrast, the MateView also supports the 10-bit colour depth covers 98% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB. The panel is calibrated to deltaE <2.
For connectivity, a mini DisplayPort 1.2 and an HDMI 2.0 port and two USB-A 3.0 ports as well to hook up your external accessories like Keyboard/Mouse or a Flash Drive.
The MateView has much powerful 2x 5W speakers with two microphones and a 3.5mm combo jack for a wired headset.
The monitor has a USB-C with video in support and 65W charging which can be a central hub for your desk. It has an Optional OneHop wireless connection (Supported with Huawei Phones with Kirin 980 or later with EMUI 12.0 or later) to mirror your smartphone screen wirelessly.
The Huawei MateView is available for purchase at AED 2999 which includes Huawei Watch GT 2 Black 46mm and Huawei Bluetooth Mouse AF30. Whereas, the Gaming monitor MateView GT will cost AED 2299.
