Design

The BenQ Mobiuz EX2710 has a 27 inch IPS LCD Screen with 1920×1080 resolution with 82 pixels per inches with a bezeless design in 16:9 aspect ratio. The EX2710 has a matte black finish in its design with a metallic base with an orange accent for some contrast.

One of the important features for a monitor is to have an adjustable height to tune for the perfect position for avoiding neck and back issues which can be caused when the monitor sits too high or too low. BenQ has added tilt and swivel option on the EX2710 to have a proper viewing angle.

The base stand which comes with the monitor is sturdy and does not wobble on the desk. BenQ is offering HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 with the EX2710. To cover the cables, BenQ has neatly added a cable cover as well. Unlike the BenQ Zowie XL2546K, the Mobiuz EX2710 has dual 2.5W speakers powered by treVolo for decent sound output and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

At the rear, the monitor has 3 buttons for menu navigation including the power button. Figuring out the menu navigation might take some time for users, the OSD buttons can be sometimes very useful when switching the menu. However, the convenience of the s-switch on the Zowie e-Sports monitors found way better in our experience.

Display & Performance

The Mobiuz EX2710 sports a good IPS display, which produces vivid colours and offers good viewing angles. The EX2710 produces a peak brightness of 400 nits with 1ms response rate with a 144Hz refresh rate, which is quite a common feature for the gaming monitors at this range. The monitor comes with an HDR10 certification with HDRi from BenQ which is available for Game and Cinema Mode to enhance the colours.

The E2710 has around 10 different modes including 3 HDR modes such as HDR, Cinema HDRi and Game HDRi, FPS,Standard, RPG, Racing Game, ePaper, sRGB and M-book. The regular HDR delivered peak brightness and intense colours than the Game and Cinema HDRi modes.

The Mobiuz EX2710’s AMD Freesync Premium support works fairly well on AMD and NVIDIA graphic card which allows the monitor to sync its refresh rate to the GPU. The games like Apex Legends and PES ran well with the NVIDIA Geforce GPU paired with the device, even though the this isn’t an NVIDIA’s officially G-sync compatible monitor.

With the chin bezels, the Mobiuz EX2710 felt smaller than the similar-sized gaming monitor than the recently reviewed e-sports screen BenQ Zowie XL2746S. The screen also has included BenQ’s proprietary eye-care technology and image optimizers to elevate the gaming experience with Light Tuner, Color Vibrance and Black eQualizer.
